What to Expect: On this political educational study trip, you will explore Armenia from a variety of perspectives. Our base is the capital city, Yerevan, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the capital of a small, relatively young state in the Caucasus region. You will visit social, cultural, and economic institutions and initiatives, with a strong focus on personal encounters and direct exchanges with the local population. Local experts and practitioners will provide in-depth insights into Armenian politics, economy, and culture. On two days, we will take excursions into the surrounding region, allowing you to discover Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city, as well as additional cultural highlights and, not least, the breathtaking natural landscapes surrounding Yerevan. The program is shaped by numerous meetings with a wide range of stakeholders—diversity made possible by the seminar leader’s extensive network and long-standing local contacts. Through the people we meet along the way, you will gain a multifaceted understanding of both the city and the country.

Program Overview: Individual arrival in Yerevan is scheduled for Sunday, 17 May 2026. The group will meet for the first time on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the hotel, where you will be welcomed by the seminar leader. After an initial introduction, the group will take a short walk through the historic old town, followed by a joint dinner at a traditional restaurant. The educational leave program officially begins on Monday morning, 18 May 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and concludes on Friday evening with a joint closing dinner. Individual departure is planned for Saturday, 23 May 2026, after breakfast.
